Working conditions act

On August 7, 1996, the Federal Government passed the act to improve the safety conditions and health of workers by implementing certain actions.

The law regulates measures to safeguard and improve occupational safety and health, which covers the following basic points of content (§3 Basic duties of the employer according to ArbSchG):

Paragraph 1)
The employer is obliged to take the necessary occupational safety measures, taking into account the circumstances affecting the safety and health of the employees at work. He must review the effectiveness of the measures and, if necessary, adapt them to changing circumstances. He has to strive to improve the safety and health of employees.

Paragraph 2)
For the planning and implementation of the measures referred to in paragraph 1, the employer shall take into account the nature of the activities and the number of employees
